The members of Antioch Church of Christ are simply Christians. We are not a
denomination of any sort nor are we even non-denominational. We are simply
“Christians” as stated in (Acts11:26). We strive to please God and believe we have a
perfect plan to follow. The pattern was revealed in the New Testament when the first
church was established on the day of Pentecost in (Acts 2).

We do not have any man made creeds or doctrines. We solely follow God’s inspired
word, the Bible. We follow it book, chapter, and verse without adding to it or taking
away from it, as God has instructed us (Revelations 22: 18-19). We work toward unity in
the teachings of the New Testament Church (Ephesians 4:3-6, 1 Corinthians 1:10).

The congregation at Antioch is not led by any man-made organization nor do we have
elected presidents or directors. Jesus Christ is the head of the church (Colossians 1:18).
We exist as a autonomous congregation, governed locally, just as the first century church
was (Acts 14:23, Titus 1:5).

Antioch’s congregation is overseen by our elders who attend to the spiritual needs of the
flock (1 Peter 5:1-4). We are also blessed to have deacons who assist our elders and help
with various duties within the congregation. The elders at Antioch are required to meet
the qualifications set forth for them in;(1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9) as well do the
deacons in (1 Timothy 3:8-13).
